Diane began painting full time in 2001, after working as a freelance graphic designer in the Specialty Ad and Electronic Publishing industries.

'Lots of creativity, an eye for abstract design and a passion for color is what I was born with. Painting in Watercolor, Acrylic, Inks and later Digital Media is what developed over many years. I like to mix mediums wherever possible to get the look and feel I want. Light, and the way it is juxtaposed with shadow excites my attention and brings my imagination to full throttle. I see magnificent patterns in nature. They leave me with a sense of awe at the exquisite harmony and balance. I like to capture the rhythms of the natural world in the vivid colors I see in my minds eye.'

To date she has received considerable recognition for the precision and excellence of her work, having been featured in the Cable TV series, 'Blue Harvest' in 1996 and later in the year 2000, had her painting, 'The Big Muddy' chosen from across Canada for publication in the SGI Corporate Calendar competition. Many of her original paintings reside in private and corporate collections worldwide. Diane's most recent paintings are regularly displayed at Prairie Artists Guild shows and at the Allen Blair Cancer Clinic, in Regina.

She has participated in numerous juried shows and solo exhibitions including:
2008-2009 - 'Prairie South Art Exhibition' - Shurniak Art Gallery, Assiniboia, Saskatchewan (a world class gallery).
2008 - 'Selected Works of The Prairie Artists Guild' - Cumberland House Gallery, Saskatchewan Legislative Bldg. Regina.
2002-2003 - 'Wind In The Grass', a 2 person traveling exhibition - Art Gallery Of Regina and The Label Mansion Gallery in Pincher Creek, Alberta.
1995 - her series 'Star Vision' was shown along with an exhibit from the Canadian Space Agency at the Saskatchewan Science Center, Regina.
1995 - 'Western Canadian Landscape' - at Sask Power Gallery in Moose Jaw.
1993 - 'Land and Sky, a cosmic perspective', Solo exhibition, Gallery 53, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
